This spring, IUNited hosted a bake sale with a purpose: raise funds for Haven House, a local shelter supporting families in crisis. Thanks to two amazing local bakeries, an incredible team of volunteers, and a community full of heart, we did just that — and then some.
🍰 Baked with Love (and Generosity)
We partnered with two family-owned bakeries, That’s a Cake and Bak House, who generously gave us reduced prices to help us raise funds. Because of their support, we started the day with:
- 38 cupcakes
- 26 brownies
- 24 slices of pound cake
And… we sold out so early, we had to restock mid-event to meet the demand. That’s how incredible the turnout was!
🌳 The Giving Tree
To honor every supporter and volunteer, we created a Giving Tree. The base is shaped like a hand — representing the hands that gave, helped, and uplifted.
- Each green leaf on the tree is a donor who supported our fundraiser (over 68 of you!)
- Each purple flower is one of our volunteers — the heart of this event
